This was another great project that I had the opportunity to work on with THINX’s creative director, UX team and dev. The idea was centered around digitizing their PMS (Period Menstrual Service) truck experience that toured the country some months prior. The truck functioned as both a showroom and educational space replete with a period specialist who gave consultations that included a questionnaire and takeaway materials.
One highlight from the experience revealed that many menstruators had a lack of knowledge around the specifics of their cycle. This finding birthed the concept of a ‘know your flow’ solution-oriented digital consultation space facilitating users to know what is best for their bodies and make product decisions from an empowered place.
Referencing the PMS Tour materials, we wanted the digital experience to be friendly, fun, informative, easy and empowering.
Deciding on the level of question specificity was our first challenge. Too general is not personal or informative enough. Too detailed (and often lengthy) feels like a task and loses its ease and fun.
Final concept includes a personalized questionnaire with savable results, recommendations and blog post links as well as a widget with saved products that follows the user as they shop.
